Signing Babies offers you the choice between 10 week classes in three stages according to your childs' development, or a one-off workshop.
What do we do in the classes?
Each class is one hour long. The first half an hour is used for singing
and signing. With our thoroughly road tested and extremely popular programme, we introduce up to 10 different signs each week through a stimulating combination of nursery rhymes, puppets, games, books and action songs. Signing Sam is the childrens' favourite, features in every class with his specially composed theme tunes - which your child will soon recognise and you will be humming in the supermarket - be warned!! Along with his friends Poppy Mouse, Clown Tommy and many more, they will make sure that your child and you will not forget the songs or the signs we learn. Most songs are repeated regularly so that the children recognize them quickly and enjoy joining in. New songs are introduced every week as well and used to teach the new signs. With the use of percussion instruments, the children will be introduced to the basics of early music education, so you get a music class AND a signing class all in one!
The second half of the class is for free play, refreshments (free of charge) and time to chat/ ask any questions and just to get to know each other.

Cost: £3 for the first child, 50p for any other children. From 6 months to 3 years. Older siblings may come if they are willing to participate in the activities

Beginners Course
We will learn up to100 useful signs, starting with the basic signs and building up to include the signs for family, toys, transport, food, bedtime, bath time and many more.
Stage 2
Building on the knowledge from the first course, we will add many fun signs from different categories appropriate to your baby's developmental stage and needs.
Stage 3
At this stage, we work at meeting the child's rapidly growing need for vocabulary. We teach use of compound words, colours and numeracy as well as introducing our unique Early Literacy Programme.
WORKSHOPS
Although you can sign to your baby from birth, the classes themselves are most suitable from 5 months upwards as the babies will get maximum enjoyment out of them at this age.
!!!!!!FREE Introductory sessions are available for groups of 6 or more to teach you everything you need to know to get started - and this will last you for the first 5 months of your baby's life.!!!!!! After this, you can join any of our 10 week courses and you get priority on any places.
